- Discuss "The Firing Squad" questions.  Then write the practice quiz.
- Read "The Painted Door" by Sinclair Ross on p. 47 of Tigers of the Snow.
- Discuss the questions in groups in preparation for the quiz on Thursday.
  
Wed. Mar. 14
-Read "The Firing Squad" by Colin McDougall on p. 69.
-Discuss the questions. Then write the practice quiz.
   
Tues. Mar. 13
- 20 min. for assignment completion or self-directed reading.
- Read: "The Sound of Hollyhocks" by Hugh Garner on p. 7 of Tigers of the Snow.
- Discuss the story questions. Then, write the practice quiz.

Mon. Mar. 12 - The Alchemist
- The new K-Library computer lab is booked.
- Work on your computer-generated mind map.
- If finished, complete the reading preferences charts and paragraphs.

• Review the mind map assignment (work alone or with one partner) and evaluation rubric
• Go to Google -> Documents
• Set up a Google Docs account (need email and password)
• Your school email address: first initial last name@skss.sd73.bc.ca
• Create a new Google Drawing mind map for your Alchemist mind map topic selection.
• Depending on your mind map topic choice, consult the novel, the Novel Setting Map and/or the  Study Notes
• When finished, email your mind map to me [with full name(s) and block]
