- Chapter 4 paragraph research in the JP library lab today. Look for information on the paragraph topics (Black Lung disease and the Vanguard Rocket project). Use this information to write well-organized paragraphs about these topics.
- If you finish this assignment, continue reading and working on the other assignments. If you have finished these, you can watch the biography of Wernher von Braun.

- In our final month of English 11, we'll be reading the novel October Sky. This memoir, written by Homer Hickam, is the first of Hickam's Coalwood trilogy, which also includes The Coalwood Way and Sky of Stone.
- October Sky, originally published as Rocket Boys, is set in Coalwood, West Virginia. Watch the video below to learn about this town.
