RESEARCH TOPIC- Media Celebrity Activism: Is It Altruism or Self-Promotion? (expect to write on this topic next week)
Complete these two tasks in the computer lab:
  1.  **Review the media representation piece from the United Nations Refugee Agency. Write point form responses on the deconstructing media handout (page 9)
  2. **Visit Look to the Stars and complete the celebrity information chart (page 8) for any five people.
**Both tasks (25 marks) due for Mon. Sept. 21

In-class five paragraph essay. Complete the outline and bring this to class.
TOPIC: Three Places I'd Like To Visit in Western Canada 
- This is an informal five paragraph essay. Marking criteria will be provided in class.
- You will have all class to write your composition; additional time will be provided if you do not finish. 

Mon.  Sept. 14 - Tues. Sept. 15, 2015   - Complete student information form (3 marks)

- 25 min. for silent reading
- Lab 2 is booked for these classes. Use the time to carefully type your annotated bibliographies. Remember to alphabetize your list and proofread before printing.
- Work on the outline for your in-class essay on Wednesday: "Three Places in Western Canada That I'd Like to Visit."
- Explore online bibliography tools: BibMe;   Citation Machine.
