Use the student reading preferences survey results to write a third person formal style paragraph summary of the overall reading preferences of the survey participants. Remember to include an informative topic sentence, supporting sentences and a strong concluding statement.

- Meet author Paulo Coelho. As you read his novel, The Alchemist, and learn more about him, decide whether he fits into the category of celebrity.
- Read to the introduction (complete ques. 1-4) and read the prologue (take notes).
- The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho is reported to be the fifth most read book in the world. It holds the Guiness Book World Record for the most translated book by a living author (71 languages). Source 10 Most Read Books in the World.


Mon. Sept. 28, 2015 - Complete student information form (3 marks)

- 20 min. for paragraph revisions OR silent reading.
- The lab is booked for students to type their two strongest paragraphs for marking.
- When the two paragraphs are typed, staple them to the front of all four rough copies.
- These will be marked:  Each good copy is out of 6 marks (2 x 6); each rough copy is worth 2 marks (4 x 2); total assignment score is out of 20 marks.
- Please include your full name and block on each good copy sheet.
